waldo's coffee shop date.

Blake and I love trying out different coffee shops in Houston, especially those close to our house.  We drove past Waldo's Coffee House this weekend and decided to stop by today while working on some blog posts.  Waldo's is right off of Heights Blvd and easy to see from the street.  It has a very cozy feel to it since it's actually inside of an older home that has been re-done for business use.  The staff was very friendly and accommodating.  The drinks were well priced, tasty, and just as ordered.  The only negative would probably be the parking as it's quite limited.  However, rumor has it (via Yelp reviews) they are expanding!

All in all, we had a great experience which will keep us coming back for more in the near future.  Thumbs up, Waldo's!

holly, carter, & lil g.

Holly, Carter, and Georgia came to Houston to stay with us this past weekend.  The five of us had an absolute blast spending time at our house, in the backyard on the swing, eating out at restaurants, and most importantly, the Texas State vs U of H football game!!  Blake went to U of H while Holly, Carter, and I all went to Texas State.  Therefore, this was quite a game for all of us.

Aunt B came to play too!  It was so nice to have all of them together at our house.  Here is Georgia enjoying her time on the swing.  We have been keeping it in our tree just for her.

Awww! Love this picture of Carter and Georgia all snuggled up in our guest room. Notice the Texas State cheerleader outfit :) Georgia is ready to go to the game!  SO cute!

Sibling rivalry!

Talk about a stadium view.

Blake and Holly.  I love this picture of them.  Texas State ended up winning the game and Blake was quite the trooper with all of these TSU fans!

Hehehe--Georgia's scrunched little nose is so cute here.  Even when making silly faces, she is beyond precious.

The epitome of youth.  I'll save this one forever.

We love you guys so much and cannot wait for you to visit again. xoxo

tara & richard.

Our dear friends, Tara and Richard, left this past weekend for their three year adventure to Saudi Arabia. We met up with them on their final night in the United States and cherished every minute of it.  Aren't they adorable?  Both of them have taught us so much and became such fantastic friends.

Check out their currency! A lot more colorful and vibrant than the US bills.

Tara and Richard have two kitties-- Noel & Whispurr.  I feel terrible because I always joked that Noel was "my favorite."  Guess who didn't get a clear picture of Whispurr for the blog? Yep, that would be me.

Even though it's blurry, I'm still adding it, dangit. She is too cute not to share! Look at her adorable face!

Here's the lovely Noel.  Is she not one of the cutest kitties you have ever seen? She makes me want a white kitty with a little pink nose SO badly!

This is one of my favorite parts of their house.

Another blurred yet "must have" picture for this post.  We took this one at night after the final items were added to the car.  Here they are in front of their house for the last time (for now, of course!)  Fear not, Houston. We will get these cuties back before we know it.

Tara and Richard, we started to miss you terribly the second you drove away from our house.  Know we are going to be thinking about you guys nonstop and cannot wait until we get to hang out again.  Best wishes and all our love!
